Cornell Loft

This loft conversion project was in Abbeymead Gloucester.

The client needed an extra bedroom but they had no room for an extension so the only alternative was to convert the loft space. But they had a trussed rafter roof and they didn’t think it would be possible.

I had previously completed a project like this so we decided that we would build a scaffold with a roof over the complete property and remove the complete roof just leaving the ceilings up.

We then put attic trusses with a raised pitch to create more space over the top of the existing ceilings to create a huge room which we converted in to a master bedroom, en-suite and dressing room which the client thought was absolutely fantastic.

I managed to fit a full size staircase which is in keeping with the existing staircase giving the impression that it was part of the original building from brand new.

All works were completed while the family were still living in the property and this was done with very little disruption to their daily routine.

Again all works were completed to the highest standard, on time and on budget
